B.Ed (Two Year) = Total Seats 150
                               Annual Fees =                  + University Charges 

Admission to B.Ed. course will be done on the basis of merit by Kurukshetra University, as per NCTE, K.U. and Haryana Govt. rules.

M.Ed (Two Year) = Total Seats 50 
                               Annual Fees = 44000 + University Charges   

Admission to M.Ed. course will be done by Kurukshetra University on the basis of enterance test and marks obtained in B.Ed.
Prerequisites for the students allotted to this college by the university are as under :
Documents / Certificates for eligibility, weightages, reservation and other concessions.

Instruction of Candidates
  1. Please read the prospectus carefully before filling up the admission Form.
  2. The admission form of candidates who are seeking admission to M.Ed. on the basis of having passed their qualifying examination from the university other than Kurukshetra University will be considered only if the qualifying examination, passed by them, is duly recognised by Kurukshetra University.
  3. Application for the admission on the prescribed form is to be submitted in the office of Principal, Dr. Ganesh Dass D.A.V. College of Education for Women, Karnal duly filled complete with attested copies of all the requisite documents such as :

    a) Certificates showing marks obtained and maximum marks of all the examinations.
    b) Character Certificate from the Head of the institution last attended.
    c) No objection certificate from the employer in case of working teacher/ employed candidate.
    d) Matriculation or equivalent examination certificate in support of date of birth.
    e) Certificate on the prescribed form in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes and socially Backward Classes / O.B.C.

  4. No candidate shall join any other course of study or appear in any other examination conducted by a University or a Public Body while studying in B.Ed. / M.Ed.
  5. No one who is in employment (whole-time, part-time or honorary) shall be allowed to join/ continue B.Ed./ M.Ed. course without taking leave from her institution/ office, etc,. from the date of commencement of the academic session to the conclusion of her B.Ed./ examination including project work/ field work/ practical examination/ dissertation etc.
  6. The candidates must mention their complete permanent and correspondence addresses along with PIN CODE and also cell phone or phone with STD code in the admission form.
  7. The candidate must produce the original documents along with two passport size photographs at the time of counselling, Original documents will have to be produced again by the selected candidates in the office of the college for verification before they are allowed to deposit their fees and the original certificates will have to be deposited in the office as per requirements of Registration Branch of Kurukshetra Univesity, Kuruksheta.
  8. .A) Admission will be refused if any document(s) submitted/ produced by the candidate(s) is/are found to be false. The candidate will furnish an affidavit also stating that if any document submitted by her found fake/forged/ incorrect then she will be held fully responsible and the University/ College can take action against her, Admission shall be cancelled if any candidate is found to be ineligible at a later stage due to any reason including non-recognition of the qualifying examination, passed by her, by the Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra

B) The admission made as per procedure laid down in the prospectus shall be provisional until these are regularized by the Registration Branch of Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra after checking the eligibility.

·         Learners will be able to acquire conceptual understanding of Sociological, Psychological and Philosophical aspects of an individual’s development and its relationship with teaching-learning process.

·         Learners will be able to provide integrated learning experiences within the socio-cultural milieu of the learners to respond to the diversities in the class-room
